Best known for founding Cloudability in 2011, which helped establish the FinOps industry and was acquired by Apptio in 2019. Today I run Sixty AI, invest through Sunny Ventures, and take on a small number of fractional CEO, fractional CxO and advisory engagements with Pacific Northwest companies. I'm a longtime supporter of the Portland startup ecosystem and of non-profits focused on education. I spend most of my time thinking about the real-world impact of new technologies, with a particular focus on cloud, AI, and the intersection of the two.
